@Luke great photo or should I say great model..@ Bryant why you getting rid of such a great lens if its for the 35L all you getting more is AF from what i heard the rokinon sharpness is right there with the L..

Thanks! Yeah Taylor makes it really easy to get great photos! As for why he's switching, for me, at least once I start making money with photography, if you look through the Fashion - Location section of my website, literally 11 of the 20 images are taken with this lens on my 50D crop sensor, for fashion on location this lens is GLUED to my body, I switched with taylor to the 50 1.4 for about 5 shots and decided it didn't give the same look so I switched back... That being said, It is a huge pain in the ass having to take 5 seconds to make sure on live view that the focus is spot on before snapping the shutter... I will continue to use this lens (until I can afford the L) because it produces FANTASTIC quality images, really sharp when you hit focus, great bokeh, amazing colors, and my favorite background compression of any prime I've used yet, but once I get the money, seeing as I shoot with it all the time, the AF would be nice!

He is saving up/getting 35L!

Love these shots of Taylor, where is the light coming from? Windows? Looks really really nice and soft!

Thanks! How's the 35/2? 35mm is starting to really grow on me but I'm missing the AF!

Thanks man! Yeah we planned to shoot outside because it was **supposed** to be sunny from 2-4, ended up being a torrential downpour so we found this library in the school of design on the U of M campus. This library is designed for natural light and has a lot of windows all around it, she happened to be about 10 feet away from 2 of these large windows to her right and closer towards camera, and because it was raining so hard out, the light was soft from all the cloud cover!

Lovely shot Luke!

How do you do your lighting? Especially inside. Your pics always have this very bright look to them.

She sure knows how to stare right through the center of the lens. Incredible eyes.

And I agree, you handle lighting very well.

Thanks Guys :p Yeah she does haha!

as for the lighting, that's actually in the architecture design library in the college of design at the U of Minnesota, the building was designed with a ton of natural light in mind, that and it was POURING while we shot it so the light was soft to begin with outside. to her right about 10 feet were 2 very large windows providing most of the light here!

You guys aren't giving Luke enough credit, there's obviously much more to the photo than having a good looking girl...
