Congrats on graduating! (HS / College?)

KEH will probably make good on that if they have the part available, they've been good to me over the years.

The 400 2.8 is definitely a beast, been around a long time, and even though it doesn't have IS, a good monopod will keep you nice and stable for some great shots. You'll have a lot of working room on that 7D ;)

Have fun!

Thank ya sir, graduated from college (last Saturday) with a degree in Graphic Design/Photography.

And yeah, KEH is one of my favorite photo stores to deal with. And I can not wait to try this thing out. Having a good reach in low light settings will be a nice change from cropping the mess out of a photo.

Here's my family, with a new addition I just received today: the 17 TS-E. What a beautiful lens!

Oh no... you have to go through the ritual hazing first, and then get sworn in. I think there's an initiation fee too.. :p

Congrats on the new lenses, both are awesome.

Actually, the 24-105 I've had. I got it with the 5D Mark II. The 70-200 I just picked up yesterday.

As far as any fees go, I think I've paid enough.

So I guess I'm not a made guy yet until I get the pin pricked finger and the burning picture of a Nikon camera in my hand? I'm ready... Let's do this thing!

Forget about the burning Nikon thing.

We are talking about blood to paint that Red Ring on a selected part of your body!

I was just playing around with the focusing and it is quick and spot on accurate also. I love it so far!

Question though. I noticed that when I have the IS turned on I can hear something like a little motor running whenever I press the shutter button. Is that normal?
