Take your pick, although I would try to bid or buy one that has a visible serial #. Some have reported not having to provide a serial # when doing the Canon Loyalty Program but when I called they did ask for a serial number for the camera I was trading in.

Someone the the POTN classified has cheap cameras for CLP use. I think that they sell for $15? Search the for sale section. Also, check Craigslist. Post an ad on CL for a broken Canon camera...

Search for Canon under digital cameras, set condition as "for parts or not working." I found an ancient Powershot for $0.99 + $3 shipping that way.

I snagged a used 7D on CL, so I'm clear for now, but my old A400 has part of the serial worn away from overuse (being in my pocket all the time and also dropping it inside the spider caves at Yosemite). I wonder if they would accept a partial serial number...

I guess it doesn't hurt to call and ask, some people have said they didn't even ask for a serial #. It might just depend on the rep you talk to also.
