Don't tell Cliff, he'll want to ride it and break his other elbow.

Oh Thanks, that reminds me.. I want to contact Cliff to see if he knows where I could get hold of a N.Z. BMX racing team Jersey.

As it turns out, the "homework" was some form of Education Board assignment designed to identify leading students. Sorry Education Board, your knocking on the wrong door here!!

wait till you hit PB4L

In our day it was called a cane. Things were so simple back then and less paper work and meetings ......... more teaching got done ...... by the teacher, not self directed learning.
My eldest one is shinning at Mangere ....teachers are saying "why can you be more like your daughter" :)
Wait till the other one turns up ........ shes got dads opinon and out spokeness.

Say again in English!

Positive behavor for learning. Its a new thing been brought in, to try to encourage the "distruptive kids" to behave with out been negative or hurt their feelings.

Im seeing a new young bread of teachers comming through now ....... oh boy were screwed in our old age.
All educated but no life or real work experence.

I thought I might chime in and say something for once, seeing as it's now a quarterly occurrence.

I have been taking LOTS of photos recently, none of them for me. Feels strange to be shooting entirely for commissioned work as such and nothing for myself, but that's how it is currently. But if you're into your history, look out for a coffee table book around Xmas on the holdings in the national archives. Pretty much everything in it will have been imaged by my own fair hands! ;)

So as part of that, on Sunday I gathered together a few people largely from here to help me shoot the cover. A 200(ish) mtr long corridor in the repository space with rows of shelving either side, shot over 4mins a pop in pretty much pitch black and light painted entirely with flashes. Calculated guess of around 300 flashes per image... Very fun and the video I have of it looks like lightning over a plain, like some big thunder storm. Once the thing is released I'll try remember to post the image and video. In the meantime, the shot below is a Brent special of the team that shot the image.

So HUGE thank you to tongmaster (Bruce), HerB4 (Chrissie), sothen (Brent) from here for your invaluable help! Nice to know after all these years yacking on here in can be the cause of working on some relatively major projects together. :)

Cool. Thought I recognized a few of those faces.
Very happy for you Dave that you are now making a living mostly from taking pictures rather than working in a camera shop. :) Good you didn't sell your gear which you threatened to do all those years ago ;)
