I still have my original SLR (a Rebel 2000). I was recently given a box of in date kodak film and wanted to break out the film camera. This is only a hobby so I was going to just get the film developed at the drug store, but I wanted to know if the Kodak picture CD's gave you decent images or if I should get the film scanned another way. Photography is just a hobby for me.

For now 645 is fine but I want something 6x7 or 6x9 just scanned in a roll, I kind of shoot at a really slow pace with my GS645s. Sometimes takes weeks to finish a roll off.

Once you get 6x7 then you will want to move to 4x5. I am now working between 6x6 and 4x5 and would love to shoot 8x10. Joby

I just want a 6x7 (probably mamiya 7) because theyre still practical for hand holding. I guess there are some 4x5s you can hand hold but the convenience of roll film cant be denied. I hate standing in the dark for half an hour

B+W negative film is almost fool-proof, apparently.
