Canon 1D MKIV And Auto ISO

Does anyone here use the Auto ISO in their Canon 1D MKIV?If yes,what are the advantages of of using the Auto ISO.Would you highly recomend using it,especialy when shooting in the Manual mode?

I sometimes use it when I limit the minimal shutter speed I want to shoot at. I put the camera in AV mode, limit the min. shutter speed to 1/500 sec and let the ISO fall where it may, using AUTO ISO. It works great in those situations.

I use it almost exclusively.
Here's what I set mine to when I am out shooting street candids, which requires a very reactionary way of shooting (at least the way I do it).
- Manual f/5.6, 1/1000
- Auto ISO set to min of 100/max of 6400
- min shutter set to 1/1000

With this setting I am at least guaranteed to stop action since the camera will never dip past 1/1000. ALso, the quality of high ISO on the 1D4 gives me freedom. I dont have to worry if it uses ISO 100 or ISO 6400 or anything in between.
