When I was talking to the rep I asked her if the 5D II was in stock. She said they were in for about 15 minutes but gone. I then said at least I wanted the 7D as they always seem to be in stock and she said they were actually getting low in stock. Must be all the Avenger hype!

dang for 15 minutes? i guess i should call in before i go to work everyday. haha.

The website is pretty accurate. I would just check it a few times a day. I did when I was looking and snagged it week and a half ago.

No date code. No scratches on the finish. Doesnt look like a lens hood has ever been on it.

Looks and acts brand new!

I'm glad you've brought this up as I've been thinking about it a bit lately. This thread is about general information and/or questions about the program, not the up-to-the-minute inventory, not sitting here and wallowing in self pity when you receive a camera that has - gasp - a couple thousand clicks on it, and certainly not a dumping grounds to make it up to the 30 post minimum so you can go sell your stuff.

I really think these sorts of discussions (with the exception of the 'get that 30th post!' guy who pops in from time to time, you should never be posting in threads simply to hit the minimum posts to participate in F/S forums) warrant their own threads, so as to not bury the useful information or question that gets asked, answered, and then buried when people come in here giving status updates about whether or not the 5D2 is in stock. It'll make all of the information (whatever it is that you want to discuss, such as inventory levels, your particular CLP experience, etc) not only easier to find and more relevant, but it will leave this thread less cluttered and make it useful again.

/soapbox.

Sorry.

I thought it was kind of funny. Most of my questions were relevant ie How long does it take to ship? or I was asked a question.

Just thought it was kind of funny that I was at post 29 after responding. Didnt even realize I was there until then.
