Thanks. I had been wanting to for a few weeks before I got out there and figured it out.

This doesn't deserve its own thread, but I think it's a cool story. I was trying to find the serial number on my 50 f/1.4 to enter into CPS but I couldn't. I looked hard. I didn't really think the lens was fake and expected there to be some reasonable explanation. But low and behold, when I took a picture of it with my 100L, I could see a serial number not visible to the naked eye!

1/30th f/5.6 6400 ISO 5D2. Just grabbed the JPEG, sorry for the boring image:

I never stopped to think that the lens would have a serial number on it. But it makes sense.

Nice shot Jason! How do you do that? Get that object in the background to show up in the droplet?

Patience and a lot of time reading the POTN forum.

The flower is a refracted image of the flower, simply stated it is like looking through a window that makes the image (outside) upside down. Next time you wake up with a lot of morning dew on the ground grab a blanket or mat and lay down and manualy focus your lens at a water drop and you'll see "through" it. Then all you have to do is find a water drop with something worth seeing on the other side...

So what's the secret to doing this? Especially getting a drop large enough.

As far as getting one large enough, if you look carefully in the morning you'll be surprised what you'll find. I seem to have more difficulty finding one that is more circular and size is less of an issue. The trifecta is round, large, and in a good position on the blade of grass...but they are out there.
