Found this cool looking bird in the back yard a few days ago. Thanks again to everyone who helped me ID it :) I had no clue what it was. Hope everyone enjoys, I thought it was a pretty coll bird! Felt bad for it thought, looks like it's beak is broken :(

Nice series. Have only seen these guys on the West Coast and always at a distance. Pretty bird despite his banged up beak.

^^ That makes sense since this doesn't appear to be a bird seen on the east coast. Beautiful bird though and very nice shots.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I really appreciate it! It really was a cool bird to see! Sadly I haven't seen it again since that weekend. It was nice while it was around though.

Aww. that's sad. I was really surprised when I started reading about it and realized it's not commonly found in this area. I hope its ok and survives out on it's own :(
