Those Blue Angels are awesome. Tough with the big ol 500mm lens to chase these guys around but I was pleased with what I got. Hope you all enjoy.

Great job on these, Jennifer. You worked the 500 to great effect, no doubt about it (I appreciate that panning with this lens does work the arms, rather)

The framing and composition of the shots is spot on, choosing to go wide with the first shot was a masterstroke, chosen shutter speeds resulted in great sharpness and detail (nice shadow detail too).

A successful outing by all accounts. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! First shot was with my Canon 10-22mm I should have mentioned.

It was a workout. lol. Love the show but wow it took an hour and a half to get on a bus to head back to the redskins stadium where I was parked. I am red like a lobster now.

Nice shots!

Where were you standing for those shots? I was just right of where the blue angels were parked, to the left of that oracle tent place.

I was to the right of you, where the trainer jet was parked. There were some cars and stuff parked in front of me but once the jets were in the air it was ok. A few years ago I was on the fence and had to deal with some woman who decided that nobody should stand within 5 feet of her so she could have an uninstructed view from her chair...so this year I just found a wide open spot on the fence...no drama lol.

I saw three people pass out in the bus line. The medics were running all over the place.

I saw that too.

Seemed like that line all the way on the left was moving the fastest. Wish I got in it.
