^^^beautiful shots Julian. Did you end up using "Case 1" or "Case 2" in the AF configuration? I used "Case 2" but not sure if it made any difference.

Same here. My right arm got more sunburned than my left too because I had it in the air shooting all day  Even my hand got sunburned.

After holdning the 5DIII with the 100-400 for four hours, my right arm got a little tired.

I had it on Case 2, but these 3 shots were with my 7D though. I have some other ones w/ the 5D3, but the 70-200 on the 5D3 was way too short for most shots. but I brought the 5d3 more for crowd and static displays.

Oh man, I would have killed to have a 5DIII there. How was it? I had my 1D MkII and a 100-400L that I rented.

I used a 5DII and 60D for a couple airshow before. For airshows, obviously the 5DIII is faster and had a sophisticated AF system. The keep rate is higher, I am thinking, maybe 100% higher than that out of the 5DII. I used center point plus the eight expanded points. But I am not really convinced which one of the six "cases" in the AF configuration is best suited for airshows, to me, it's not all that clear from the manual's description. I am waiting for more pros to chime in on this.

Thanks Mike. If it weren't for these excellent Neptune drivers, Arizona would have burned to the ground by now. They are flying many, many missions each day.
