Looking for tool to delete serial numbers from .CR2

One of the options for export in LR4 is Metadata. And one of the metadata options you can select is 'All except Camera and Camera raw info'. That might help.

It seemed to omit the camera and serial number when I tried it.

But not for raw files.

For "normal" formats like JPEG, PNG, TIFF, this is a pretty much long solved problem. It was the raw format that I wanted to be able to do, too. But it is solved, now, without having to write something new. So if it ever happens that I'm posting an image where it might be appropriate for someone else to process from the camera raw file, I will be ready to do that as soon as I have this integrated in my automated workflow.

I can do that at a command line by converting to PPM and back. But I want to keep all the technical EXIF.
