I'm working on an image capture program (target platform is Mac OS X) for a client, using v2.9 of the EDSDK. I display the live preview on a laptop, and control of the camera is all done through the laptop.

One of their requirements was to be able to focus the camera remotely without actually downloading an image. I did this by going through the motions of capturing the image, and then just ignoring the download part. They were able to choose "focus" versus "take the shot" by using a modifier key (no modifier = take the shot, modifier key = focus only). On the 40D, this works perfectly. But, on the 60D, the camera appears to want to focus no matter what.

I know the SDK is officially unsupported, but does anyone know if I'm just missing something in the SDK, or if the 60D is just going to always try to focus no matter what when the "Take Picture" command is sent to it?

Thanks.

hello

I read your post that you have developed software for controlling canon DSLR under MAC

is that code for sale, or can I discuss some development work?
