^ People are insane. I remember seeing a few videos of cars losing control and plowing into the crowds.

Very nice shots, newporthomie - only the last one has some motion blur...
The first one in your last post is my favorite!

I took these the day after I bought this bad boy, Someone told me they look soft or that something is wrong with them, I was shooting int he pouring rain and conditions plus user error are mostly to blame, but i don't think it's the lens... What does everyone think?

Here is your image after being re-worked PM. Elements 9 brightness/contrast, removed noise, sharpened and cropped a bit tighter.

Your lens produced a strong image. I feel reasonably sure a real pro could do even better than I.

You have the action, the emotion of the moment and the environmental involvement of the weather well captured.

Enjoy your new toy. It will lead you to even better work with each experience.

I think the original looks significantly better than this^^ The originals might look a tad soft, what shutter speed/ other settings were you using?

When it rains, this is completly normal. This lens can focus on a spider web from a far distance - falling raindrops will soften your subject/object.
