That is really awesome, a great example that even a so-so lens can make great pictures in the right hands!

@CatfishJohn Welcome! Nice photos... be a bit careful, the background shows in No. 3.

@Rivest No photos of the 300 yet? Come on, I haven't shot anything since May 17... At least let me see some photos!

Very nice Master, the car really jumps out from the background. Finally got around to looking up what defenestration means also, haha.

Honest opinions please, nice shot or an overprocessed batch of suck:

I like it, just the way it is. It's absolutely gorgeous. Haven't read the past 5 pages, so forgive me if this went in a completely different direction. Love this version. Sticking by that.

Hello everybody!

Still getting my 60D squeezed, this is the camera I´ve taken more shots of my life (far more reliable than my 7D that is out for repair for second time this year)

Here my latest...

Hey John, I liked the previous one too.

I knew that the BG showed up inadvertently! (Has happened on one of mine too when David (Rivest) told me that it was underexposed... I upped the exposure a bit and the spill from the umbrella made the background obvious).

I like that your subjects look natural and happy! My wife and son look like they are in shackles!

C&C me to death please. This is my first HDR. Well, the over-done type of HDR..

&David.. How do you like that 6.5mm? I just picked up the Rokinon 8mm FE a few days ago. Love it so far, but it's all manual, so the metering to the body isn't all that accurate.. How's that working for you?

I borrowed a friends ND filter (10 stop I think) on a trip to Hamilton Island last year. My first go using one.

Was fun! Comments welcome :)

EDIT: Guys I've noticed that I've not had one comment on any of my photos.. good or bad. Are they that boring? Bad? Am I being rude.. would love some feedback, as I'm super keen to be a part of this great community. Thanks!

Love all the photos, both of you. I grouped you together, in my reply because basically it came down to white balance for me. A little cooler would have made a world of difference for me. Just preference, of course.
