Birds of Costa Rica 13 - Owls and Doves

Any unsual combination I know but I'm running out (almost ) of major groupings.

1. Black and White Owl - Arenal Observatory Lodge. If you look carefully you'll notice its bulging throat as it completes the last hoot of a call.

You had a great trip!
Such a variety.
I have the white winged doves here like pigeons.
They are cool.

Thanks Gary. Rick Dobson found both owls for us. The Black and White was calling near our lodge rooms in the evening.

Torva thank you. We were there for two weeks and other thatn some driving and meals, wedid nothing but photography in the daylight hours!!!
