We have had a family of Great tits nesting in our garage roof for several weeks now with a very busy mother bird bringing them grubs and caterpillers every time I look across. Looks like the time has come for the kids to get their own place though, as when I walked over to my garage this moring, the little fella below was sitting on the ground. He can fly in short hops of about 3-4 feet at a time. After I took these couple of shots (heavily cropped as I wouldn't go too close) I gave him some dried mealworms for breakfast :)

Nice one Mark, they are incredibly vulnerable at this age, what is stuck to his beak?

Thanks Joe, it's a seed case from one of our trees, he must have been pecking at things on the ground and this has stuck to him, probably not good to eat but likely harmless :)
