Expecting delivery tomorrow. Nice upgrade to my novelty coffee mug that looks like a 24-105.

Congrats, I think you will find its IQ beats the hell out of the coffee mug. That is unless your drinking coffee :-} I actually have one too

Seriously, I had the Tamron before my first 24-105 and I thought the 24-105 was a much better lens. My first 24-105 was my first L and I sold it after owning the 24-70 and 105 for a while. I did prefer the 70 in some ways but over time I started to miss the 105. Especially for travel.

The new 24-70 will probably be very good but your talking about 3x the price of this one.

White box is really no big deal if you plan to keep it and really if you sell it I think its pretty common to get a white box since so many of these are out there. Was just an added bonus to get the retail box IMO.

-edit - nice BSP.

I don't even drink coffee, and it's too small for all the iced tea I drink, so I use it as a candy dish. ;-)a

Wow, cool. My dad ordered one after I sent him this link, but he hasn't received it yet. I wonder which box he will get.

This is a great lens on any body.

I got the original 24-105L box too. I can't believe it. Awesome! Thanks Adorama.

Pardon the cell phone snap. I think the one on the left will work better than the one on the right.

At least the one on the left doesn't say "Caniam" instead of "Canon." ;)

And nice to get the "normal" box.

Had ordered one and I got the brand new retail packaged one too :)

Thanks OP for pointing this deal out!

This is my first L lens, and compared to the other ones that I have, wow, this one feels solid and heavy. Will test it out soon.

Glad everyone who got the deal could take advantage of it! Still trying to understand if it was an Adorama website mistake or what, but either way they ponied up and sent them out!

fa_photo_b...this lens is great!
