Well it had to constantly refocus when I was using it too...But when I knew where a car was going to be and I had the time, I would hit that spot a few seconds earlier. I do the same with my 70-200. Just a habit from my manual focus days :D

~Edit...I should also add...Pretty sure dogs are going to be moving faster through your field of view than a car (even on the track) during those agility things. So I'll STFU meow :D

Took the plunge and upgraded to the 70-200 mkII.
I think there is a bit of magic in this lens.

I shot paintball all week-end long. Today I heard a strong airplane noise flying over, raised my head and had just enough time to snap this shot before it was covered in cloud. I think I like it, how about you?

Which reminds me, I went to a NY Meetup yesterday to do Lightpainting.

I had in mind to do the "I (heart) NY" theme with the Manhattan skyline.

After a few miserable tries, I concentrated in getting some halfway decent photos of the skyline...

i tried the steel wool but my battery was too weak to get a good spark. i used an old flashlight
