I built a simple bird bath in my backyard last week, about 9'x2' in size with a flat water surface.
I had my first visitor today (one that I photographed at least) who finally used it as a "designated cleaning station" not just as a drinking stop : )

Robins have more fun bathing than any bird I know. We have to re-fill our bird bath at least 1-2 times a day because these guys love to get re-freshed.

Wonderfully fun series, nice job!

I do believe robins have to be among the cleanest birds around.

Robins carry the West Nile Virus, mosquitos love them for some reason. They do love washing more than any other bird I've observed, especiaaly in the evening.

Birds always seem to enjoy their baths, don't they? This is a great series, Gabe. Really enjoyed them.
