Are you hoping to pick one up through the CLP? If so, just call them and ask the representative to keep your information and phone you when they are back in stock. They will do this and it makes life much easier for you.

I think I'm getting the deal of the century. Is there a limit to what camera you can use as a donor? I'm going to use a 9 year old A60 that was under $250 new to save $350 on a 5D2.

Edit: Sweet. They said they'll call me when they come available. Hopefully it's when another big batch comes in, as I suspect that would make it more likely an overstock return. Can't wait to get another 5D2. I so regret selling mine...

Just so you know, I used a broken SD 450 that I picked up on eBay for $9. Let's see . . . I saved approximately $350 after a $9 investment. I like those numbers!

Well this was my mom's camera and she used it until it broke and since then the kids have been playing with it. Now I'll turn it into something I can play with.

Man I hope they get some in soon. I've been itching for one and it's hard to restrain myself from buying a used one right now. Heck, I probably would've if the used ones weren't so expensive.

Glad I didn't keep waiting. The page no longer works. I can't find the page for refurb bodies anywhere. I picked up a 1 month old 5D2 used, so I have 11 months of warranty. It was a couple hundred more than a CLP refurb, but I'm happy with it.

I got a used one for less than the CLP price. Glad I did because they didn't call me when they were in stock earlier this week like they said they would.

Same here. No call on the day I saw them in stock. I had already purchased a used one as well. I didn't get it for less, but I got one that still has almost 11 months of warranty.
