Who is going to be the one to try one out? Im hoping it is nice becaust .5-9 stops is a fantastic range. If the optics are great, it would be almost worth leaving on a lens all the time.

They increase the ISO capability expandability of cameras and then ND's follow in reverse.
The future of filters is software control in camera and post process.

Imagine ISO of 128,000 ... now image ISO of 10 or even 1.
It is on the drawing board NOW.

There is a lot more to it than that EL_PIC. What about smooth flowing water shots or wide open midday portraits? Or shallow DOF panning shots at 1/30th of a second in midday sun. Sure, you could get similiar effects in post but its a hell of a lot easier and faster to screw on a filter.

Cmon tekkie. Dont be scared. ;) I also want to see at least one review. Though, sadly, most variable NDs get equally variable reviews!

Hoya usually makes a good product. I'll be interested to see how it holds up against Singh-Ray

Shane, just because I'm selfless and you've given me some great suggestions in some threads -- go ahead buy it, have it sent to me and I'll review it for you!!!:lol:
