The last from our last trip to Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge....

In the first two, I desaturated and reduced luminocity of the green and yellow channels, to better emphasize the subject... good, bad? I like it, but I'm interested in whether or not anyone else does.... I also reduced contrast, I'm normally a high contrast kind of post processor. But, it was just too much with, for instance, the white birds that already have lost detail. So, I tried something new.

I have no idea what the heck you shot @ 88 seconds, iso160 and f/22? Is that against a wall or are you shooting up into the night sky?

What exactly were you testing again?

1) That hot pixels might show up during long exposures?
2) Dust at very small apertures?
3) Why iso 160?
4) Why 88 seconds? (Unless there is some kind of Chinese correlation to that because Chinese people love the number "8". And yes, I can get away with saying that because *I* am Chinese and I know how obsessed my people are with the number "8".)

Just looks like hot-pixels because of long-exposure, IMO. That's going to happen regardless of whatever digital camera you use. You can map those out and/or easily clone those out.

my obsession is 22, it was a sky shot, i have done a million long exposures, why 160, i have no idea, i was just messing with some clouds, the others turned out better but you can't really see the spots, it was starting to rain, i'll do some more tonight and repost, i saw the spots and was just wondering what was up. sensor?

I shot these tonight at a local concert in my neighbourhood, a group of four pretty girls were dancing and singing on stage.

Magnus, you said there were four pretty girls dancing and singing - you're holding out on us! ;) more from the series please. I love what you caught in the first shot, it's between this & 3 that are my favourites, could you possibly show us No.1 in colour too, I'd love to see it.

Beautiful series, Alfredo! You certainly were lucky with that sighting, with the family so relaxed, too ...

Excellent bear shots digital_AM! Really captures the feel of the Tetons as well as the bears.

That rose was from a garden at the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City.
