For your 1dsII owners, in terms of the noise level, what would the 1dsII equivalent too? 40D? 5Dc? What is the highest useable ISO files you can use using NR? I am thinking about selling my 5dII for a 1dsII. I shoot a lot of sports and I just feel the 5dII is very limiting in terms of the usable AF points.

Perhaps a little better than the 5DC, it's different so usable to a step higher or so. Be aware of the NiMh battery...older batteries will most likely not hold a charge well so should you decide to go this route you will need a couple of new batteries or an alternative power supply.

IQ is as good or slightly better than the 5DII, in that almost undefinable way that the 5D has a quality to it that I liked better than the 5D II. The buffer is not as big so it fills up faster on RAW files, so don't plan on shooting large sequences.

Once you get a 1DsII in your hands, the 5 feels toylike. I still have my 5D2 but don't use it much anymore, my wife will use it assisting me in weddings. I never put battery grips on my bodies before, and now I just don't know how I handled em these past years, they're too small! lol (This is my first 1 series)

I'm sure other's here with more experience with it can fill in or debate, so this is just my 2cw.

Thanks. My 1dIII is my main body. I like full frame and it is hard to let go once you have tasted it. I want a second body but full frame. Anything newer than the 1dsII is beyond my budget.

I'm a little surprised that nobody has commented on the artwork I posted. I'm no expert on abstract art, but I thought that one was pretty nice.....perhaps my bias shows through as it was done by my 4 year old! :)

No offense. Well, most of us are photographers. If we don't take much interests in photos with the lens cap on to detect banding, photos of hot pixel, I seriously doubt that we can appreciate anything abstract....:)

LOL :)

I did nearly comment that it looked like something my 3 year old would paint!

couple shots from the other day. Not the greatest framing but my phone kept ringing...

Both taken with a 35mm f2
