Now that I do not have a macro lens anymore, just an ordinary cityscape at 70mm, before sunset...

Hi all :)

I just got my first DSLR yesterday, I got the T3i, I know the 4 comes out soon, but I couldn't wait to play. I bought a Canon PowerShot SX150 IS a month ago thinking it would last me forever....nooooo I caught the camera bug real quick.

I love this forum and all of the pictures you guys have put up. I am not even half way through reading yet. Everyone seems so friendly!!

I'm excited to get feedback from all of you. :)

Thanks for the feedback! These were taken with the standard lens it came with - 18-55mm.

These were taken with a Kenko 30mm extension tube and a Canon 18-135 kit kens using manual focus.

I illuminated the wasp, that have built a nest on one of my basil plants, with the light on my iPhone.

No additional light required for the worm shot. I obviously scared the crap out of him! :D

Thank you, much appreciated and wow - the first macro shot is stunning! I did not knew, that you can get such quality and magnification with the kit lens plus extension tubes. Also to manual focus is not an easy task - very well done!

It is great to see how varied (and great) the shots you guys get from the 600D. I was lucky enough to have a new bee subject I saved from drowning which gave me a chance to practice
