I found that the Black Rapid straps are geared more toward the slimmer, shorter photographers because the length of the strap causes the camera to ride higher on heaver/taller photographers. I returned mine.

any real difference between RS-4, RS-5 and RS-7 ?

Not really except the price I guess.

I just picked up the RS-7 and I'm in love with it! Don't even feel the camera is there and it's extremely accessible!

RS-7 is slimmer than the RS4/5, the RS4/5 are nearly identical except the RS5 has more storage capacity.

New fan of the Black Rapid RS-Sport 2 @ 5'7". Makes biking around town easier and out of the way until I need it. :)

how about comfort considering for a pro body + a heavy lens like 5DM3 + 24-70 ?

i usually avoid sling bags because of the weight hanging on one side, is it the same for Black Rapid straps ?

wondering if shoulder strap is actually better than neck strap

I use the RS-4 with my 5D3 + 24-70L all the time. It is WAAAAAAAAY better than using a neck strap. Having the weight on the shoulder, you barely feel it compared to when its pulling on your neck all day.

Decent review from youtube which allows you to view the Crumpler Convenient Disgrace http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3K4jfe8Frc (external link) . I've seen it in person and it's a decent strap, the industry disgrace would be better if you didn't want the quick release feature.

It was nice overall but I have a optech pro loop so +1 for the optech ;)

Black Rapid straps are highly recommended, but a lot of times I see users with scratches on their bodies due to the metal linkage that holds the strap to the camera. Is this normal of this design or are the people I see using this strap just careless?

I use the Blackrapid RS-7. The metal link may or may not scratch (only*) the bottom of the camera, as I don't quite see how it can scratch any where else (I use a 5dIII w/ Bgrip).
But it is quite easy to forget about the camera and have it hit something, though, it hasn't happened to me...yet.

I like the BlackRapid RS-7 and RS-Sport straps, but I find my CPS strap (same as OpTech I believe) to be more comfortable when carrying a camera bag of any sort.
