Beautiful photos! I had a Mini Schnauzer who was a salt/pepper. She was great to the family but since a 6 month old pup when we got her did not like anyone else as much as I worked on that. I had her when I was in my teens and she was a fantastic 4H dog. She won her agility and I put her in the big dog agility even though her shoulder size should have had her in small dog. She won it though as she was just a little springboard. She could even do the long jump. It was pretty cool! SIP Sadie. I miss you! Loving seeing everyone else's Schnauzers!

My family has always has black, giant schnauzers. Unfortunately, our last companion of 9 years had past last August.

After searching around, we finally got two new pups. This makes a total of 5 giants we've owned.

Anyways, here is a picture of one of the boys at ~ 9 weeks old.

C&C welcome. Image taken with 60D and sigma 300mm F1.4@1.4

His name is Sampson and he has a brother who looks identical named Hugo. We are on week 11 now and they just had their ears cropped so we are dealing with that hot mess.

Just wanted to share with my fellow schnauzer lovers. Enjoy.

That is a great picture....Don't you love how shy they are? :-)

Follow Up:
The boys are growing quickly and have now had their ears cropped. They are about 19 weeks now at Sampson is a little behind Hugo in weight (54 lbs vs 59 lbs). I don't get to snap many shots of them but here are a few.

One from the late in the ear cropping process:

Two weeks later:

& now done.

This is the first born Mini Schnauzer puppy. It will be interesting to see what colors he ends up with. He might be either a Black and Silver or a dark Salt and Pepper. He seems to be really laid back already. :) He's the first to settle down when he gets picked up.

This is the only female out of Sadies litter. She has 4 pups but 3 are males. I've nicknamed her Bella.;)

Saw the boys again yesterday on Father's Day and they had gotten hair cuts. Here are some shots. Enjoy.

Sampson, rushing me:

One of Django's (my pup) best friends. A wrestling match ending in a last ditch effort with an uppercut.

I grew up with a miniature schnauzer named Max. He was a great dog. He lived to be 13. I now have a Jack Russell Terrier that is 15 and I'm convinced he will live to be 20, just to spite me.

Don't put it past him! Oldest dog lived to be 29.
