1 and 7 are awesome. It shows that many times those of us with credentials miss potential shots by wandering/looking where the spectators are. LOVE number 1 as it is a cool perspective and know where you shot it and did not think of it.

I was there too shoot. Awesome place to shoot.

Thanks Dinam3atl for the thanks, yeah but someday I'd love to be on the otherside of the fence to see what I can do :) thanks on the #1 pic yeah I'd say I took 10 shots in two laps on rapid fire trying to get the MSRacing Car and only 2 came out with 1/50 shutterspeed, yeah right underneath the walkover bridge and very little room to pan without knocking my camera on something, haha had to work for that one

thanks Bud.
If you have any pull and can get me a Laynard for ALMS/Indy weekend I'd give you 5 gold Stars to stick on your fridge! haha or I'd buy ya dinner. I have never ever had a press pass for any picture I've ever taken. ho hum
Cheers
Steve

Thanks Rick, getting better,, btw all hand held, the Astons above are 1/30 with the IS on my 70-200. the lowest I tried was 1/30 this day. seems to be blurring pretty good if you get it right. next time I'm gonna use a ND filter to get those F stops down and see what happens. I had a 9 stop filter in the bag but that was probally to much sooooo.. and Loving the 7D's tracking, this was my first time using it at a race track.

Thanks Again Rick

Thanks Al,
yeah on the 7D and tracking,, I was using single point(normally center point) and let the tracking in AI servo do its work,, BUT I had the AI servo tracking sensitivity on slowest it will go cause I read some Bird photographer suggest that for his awesome bird in flight shots,, what do you use as far as tracking sensitivity? I think I wanna gonna go with faster as I think my slow shutter panning I got more back of the car in focus in some of the shots and think the higher sensitivy might help for these cars keeping it towards the middle or nose of the car where I initial focus on. what you think?

or anyone reading this reply think about that custom feature on the 7D I'm talking of?

thanks for the thanks again Al
