Abe's of Maine refunds slow?

What a horrible unethical company. They oversold the lens and won't tell you until a week later and promised to refund money within 2 business days. It has been a week now but have not seen my money yet.

They might have refunded the money already but your credit card company might not be that quick. Be careful with the blame game. I am not a huge fan of Abe's of Maine either but these type of posts are not necessarily a fair assessment of the vendor. There are other outfits that are 10 times worse!

I use paypal though!

I bought from them and saved a bunch, very happy.

They are a solid company. Bought there many times with 0 problems.

PayPal can take several day's for a refund to show up. This whole thing of jumping on vendor's for every little thing is really getting out of hand lately. I have not had any problems with Abe's.

I've bought from them with no issues. Pleasant experience.

I think your issue is with Paypal, not Abe's. Paypal take days to do anything except send/receive money from one account to another. If there is a weekend involved, it can be nearly a week. I moved some funds from my PP account to the bank on a Thursday and the funds finally made it on Tuesday.

Which lens did they oversell? When did you buy it?

I bought a passport colorchecker from them and didn't receive it for two weeks. That's after I paid for 2nd day delivery. Seems they were shut down for some thing or another and didn't bother listing it on their site anywhere. The number provided for inquiries was also dead during that time.

Not a good first impression for getting repeat business.

I have used them a few times without incident but they do try and upsell sometimes.

Edited the title, let's keep the drama and it's details personal experience and not let "my" incident define the whole company and the world.

I bought from them in the past and returned the item and received my refund in timely manner. This was 2 years ago.

beachcamera took a while too but i bought it on a credit card..so as long as i got it back in a decent itme..i was fine with that.
