Does this work in B/W?

I'm not typically a fan of black and white for sports images but this is really more of a portrait than real action. whatcha all think, color or b/w?

I think it works in B&W but the shot doesn't due to the childs face being hidden by the glove.

i like it much better in color

Thanks Deiseman and Rick. I have some with his face completely visible as well but liked the focus on just the eyes to show his concentration. Its always interesting when something you like doesn't appeal to someone else so thanks, its one of the best ways to help me be critical of my work.

I kind of like it better in BW myself and I agree, I like the focus on the eyes and the face obscured by the glove, but like you said it's always interesting to hear other people's views on an image. The same thing happens to me all the time- I'll have a photo that I really like, and another one similar that I don't care for as much, but people seem to like the one I don't like better

B&W and selective color his irises and you'll sell the resulting image for 3,000 dollars.
