Guys, need some advice. First of pictures are amazing, and basically they influenced me to get S95. Here is the question, would you suggest me to use or not to use a CHDK DNG to get results similar to yours, or just use Canon's RAW?

Canon raw is fine. you can still install the chdk for other features. or if you want, you can try both raw formats out and do a comparison.

I doubt CHDK/DNG will produce anything better than canon raw.

Great. I did a comparison. Here is “pro et contra” what I noticed. CHDK DNG is very slow. Another thing is lens distortion. I have to always fix it in Lightroom by choosing S95 profile. Only difference is, IMHO, it gives me more vivid and lighter result, but come on, I work with a RAW I can saturate in a way I want. I'll post some pictures I took in DNG format. Verdict, returning to default RAW. Thank you everyone.

Another thing to remember is that you can run Canon's CR2 RAW files through ACR and get .DNG files from them.

thanks for advice. I will do it for sure to compare the results. On the first day camera arrived I was so happy with CR2. I thought I could squeeze more out putting CHDK, but with your guys suggestion I will return to CR2.
