I got my 100-400mm last weekend and have had fun with it so far. These two were hanging out at Lake of the Ozarks State Park (central Missouri) where we were camping.

Nice! Love the color the deer take on this time of year. Looks like that young buck has got a good start to be sporting a nice rack by this fall.

i'm glad you caught this!
I was in the park the other day and saw one for the first time in my 47 years of living... but have "heard" them my entire life. I was so excited to actually see, not just one, but 3! But i only had a 35mm w/ me and took a pic..but it was so small in the frame i was disappointed.

appreciate the post :)

We have them all over southern Ontario, they're very common here. I might have an photo or two I will look for later tonight and post for you.

Charles, great shots, but the first is especially notable as you have a lower shutter speed (wheel blur) yet you have nailed focus in a corner. Nice.

Not one of the images I have are postable, most are from about 50 feet away and OOF. I am heading down to that area again at month's end and will concentrate on getting a few good shots for you.

Thanks, love World Rally. Crazy how fast they drive and keep in control!
Looking forward to the local ARC round in October.

^Nice. I had no idea how angular/faceted the front end of the Airbus A380 is until seeing this shot. The shading is perfect for seeing the lines.
