christ, what did you do?

lol...the way you asked, you'd think I gutted a baby like in Eraserhead.

And like, dude...it's just fish. I'm pretty sure that even vegetarians eat fish, because they don't have any feelings.

BTW, let me clarify that I didn't kill any fish in order to make the picture. I just fohnd them and decided to shoot them. While I have no problem with killing an animal, I have a BIG problem with killing animals for the purpose of making photographs. I won't kill a vertebrate in in order to make a photograph. I am willing to kill a bug or a spider in order to make a photograph, but even that makes me feel really bad.

Anyway, I'm glad that you liked the color. I tried it in black and white as well, and I thought that the color version just worked a lot better.

But yeah...it's sort of weird. But it's just a picture of dead fish, isn't it?

Interesting photo. In an art gallery some "collector" would probably pay $1,000,000 for it :)

(Oh and and I'm pretty sure that vegetarians don't eat fish).

Cheers,

They don't, my GF is one.

As to the photo, it's interesting in a weird/disturbing way. The combination of dead organic matter (even if it's just a few dead fish) mixed with the power supply cables is somehow unsettling, at least it is to me.
That doesn't mean I don't like it though :)

OP, great shot. Very intriguing. I like. And is that some debris found at the site in the fishes mouth? Looks like some kind of braided hose. Interesting mismash of elements.

Kurt, are you saying your girlfriend has no feelings, as she is a fish, or she does not eat fish, as she is a vegetarian? :D:D I keed, I keed.

I think you will find that both vegetarians and fish do have feelings.

As for your photo, I think it's carp.

Disgusting! Why'd you shoot the fish? They were already dead!

lol...I was kind of asking for that.

Anyway, funnily enough, I never expected this photo to come back up again, seeing as how it's 4 months old. BTW, this is one of the ones that I ended up completely losing interest in. There are some things about it that I like, but overall it's not working for me.

I think the bottom line is this...it's just too weird and nonsensical. While I actually LOVE weird and nonsensical, I tend to find that it usually really mostly works when the image is visually interesting regardless. The way that this photo was shot isn't particularly interesting, so the "weird and nonsensical" stuff just ends up being less "interesting" and more like "random stuff slapped together haphazardly".

*shrugs*

I guess that's how it works a lot of the time. Sit on a photo for half a year...some'll get better and some'll just get silly.
