Weight is not a concern, I am wanting a good tripod for the money. I am really liking the siui t-1005x with a k20x head which is around $210...

make sure you do mean "Weight is not a concern..."

I have a slightly different comb, 055XPROB + 804RC2. I chose this because it was very solid (I still think it is very stable), and at the right height (I am 5'11"), and I thought weight was not a concern.

after several times brought the tripod with me...I now know weight is not a concern for this tripod if I have it in the trunk of my car and my car is always with me.

I still strongly believe 055XPROB is a super tripod as long as you don't need to carry it for a long distance.

Now I am looking for a CF tripod for travel purpose.

5D MARK II, EF 24-105, EF 70 - 200 F4 IS, EF 50 F1.4, EF 40 F2.8, ZE 50mm MP, EF 24 F1.4 Mark I, Leica R50F2, Canon G10, Canon EOS M with 18-55 kit, Canon FL58F1.2, 270EX flash, 430EX II flash. Manfrotto 055XPROB + Sunwayfoto DB-44, Feisol 3442 (No CC) + Sunwayfoto FB-36DDH2

how much does is way? It looks like around 6lbs by B&h specs, I currently have a Velbon Videomate 607 Tripod with PH-368 2 Way Fluid Head that was given to me and its pretty heavy so I don't think weight will be too bad.

Rick is correct, this is a solid set of legs, mega versatile, and only $30 over your stated budget with the current rebates. I would not hesitate on this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …PROB_Tripod_Legs_Kit.html (external link)

Just placed my order after researching all weekend:D Now just waiting to see what the new bodies(70d,7dmk2??,...) have to offer before upgrading. i am leading towards the 5dmk2 at the moment
