That Rally Shot is Bad A$$

Art Vandelay wrote in post #14592339 (external link)
The rally car shot is terrific !

Thanks :D He completely misjudged the jump and made an insane leap, landing the car on its nose - how he managed to stay on the road on drive on is a mystery.

too close !

Eagle wrote in post #14592644 (external link)
I'm always amazed at how close you can get to the action for those rally shots.

Yeah, they were too close. Those photo vests (there's writing on them, not visible in the picture) allow working photographers to go where spectators can't go, but some take "getting up close" too far.

Here's a time when you have to be patient with "Guys With Cell Phone Cameras"!

Our local Downtown Vancouver Association is throwing some events this summer and has invited local photogs to come on a voluntary basis, so no pressure or anything, so today I went to a festival with a "Concert in the Park featuring a band named Fruition (never heard of them).

As I was going for a wide-angle shot of the whole band, this guy made his way right up front and stayed for way too long!:

He was probably recording video.

You know, I bet you're right! I'm not used to this whole Smart Phone era!

Harm, that's a pretty "cool" scene, shot and conversion!

Thank goodness for camouflage...

Otherwise, they might scare the jets away!

This is a bit old. But I found it in my Flickr uploads.

Shot with the 85 f/1.2L @ f/1.2 to keep the photo family safe.
