I'm struck by the number of people who own the 24-105 f/4.0L (me being one of them). It's an often under rated lens when discussed on forums like this. Maybe because it's sometimes look at as a "kit" lens or because it's a f4.0? This is my "go to" lens for many reasons and is on my camera 90% of the time. It's sharp and has a great focal range for my 5D mkII.

not the end of the world. The best lens you can buy for a crop camera arent L lenses anyhow, so dont sweat it :)

If I were still shooting crop, I'de choose the 17-5X variant, over ANY L lens... that's right, ANY!

Samesies - I had no L lenses when I was on a crop - I didn't feel like I needed it.

But now on FF I own 2 lol...
