I'm pleased too, feel like I'm at a drag strip! Which lens took these beautiful shots?

Alta Utah, notice the house in the bottom, they built the deck around the aspen :-)

Wow, that's just the most amazing beautiful place. Oh what I'd give to live in that house.

Obviously a lot went wrong here, but it's something to work on.

Those were some pretty sweet pics of the Buick Grand National. My wife gives me crap about liking those cars.

I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

I like it alot - lower your exposure time (and increase ISO) if you don't want elongated stars (star trails) and watch for planes in your field of view but hey - I look forward to further attempts!

Thanks. I should know better by now then to do more then about 20 seconds exposure for stars but I was trying to get it all in one shot and was doing three pops with the flash behind the car so I did a 30 second exposure. As soon as I got home and loaded this pictures I realized I went too long. I tried some other pictures lighting the car from the front but I had way too many hotspots. I have some ideas for the next time out though.

I know (read, calculated somewhere) that after 23 seconds for my 15mm wide end - star trails will 'visibly' begin. I figure 20 sec max if using 18mm is safe. 60D has a good sensor - David used ISO 3200 on his recent shot - looked great - Keep it up ~

Thanks mike and vinz!

How do you achieve catchlights? Is there a certain angle you have to be or just having flash will do the trick?

Also, i dont know if its a factor but she rarely looks at the camera directly, so i just shoot anyways if she's looking at something else but still facing the camera..

Sometimes the natural lightings around you like when you're in the shade facing a very bright skies can also achieve catchlights. Everything that reflects in the eyes can be a good catchlights. if nothing reflects in the eyes, eyes will look flat and won't pop up.

But damn Alex I like your work. We're quite similar on the PP side, I like what I see. Keep it up!

Went up to Park City last night for savor the summit and snapped some pics. They close down Main St. and set up a long line of tables for resturants to showcase their food. Was a good time! http://www.parkcityrestaurants.com …s-events/savor-the-summit (external link)
