I think it's funny how the 5dmk3 owners are trying to dream up scenarios where the 1dx isn't that much better than the 5dmk3. Look, if you're making a very nice living as a pro photographer in which I am it's a very easy choice, a no brainer as a matter of fact. What some people don't understand is that spending an extra 3k on a body that could make you that back at one wedding is an expense you will take on without blinking. And Yes, the 1dx is much better equipped to handle weddings than the 5dmk3. If you are shooting weddings for a living and feel you need tons of MP you certainly have a different style than me.

If I could afford a 1DX I would be drooling all over it.
I seriously can't wait to see the magic made with this beautiful beast!!!

What I find incredible is that the 1DX's AF system not only focuses on the subject but, it also locks focus on colors. That can be good & bad but if used right, its awesome! It does have a default setting for that.

Where are the high ISO images? I can't believe they haven't hit the web yet.

I can't believe there is still very few actual RAW files available. This thing is released, and yet still slim pickings for RAW files.

So you've decided to get one again, Julian? I thought you took your name off of the pre-order list.

A few have certainly shipped in the UK - just not to anyone on POTN. I would expect this thread to get kinda busy in the next few days as more are delivered.

Whoever has one by now is probably too busy enjoying it to bother with our little wants.
I have over 1200 Raw shots (RAW & L jpegs) taken with the 1DX but, to bother with a Beta program just to create a pacifier for everyone doesn't appeal to me. Sorry.
... besides, I was asked not to post them like most everyone else who has used the 1DX.

It's still not known how many stops it is better than other dslr's but I can say the AF system is abbbbsooolutely mind blowing!

The only negative thing I found wrong with it (keep in mind its a pre-production model & things could change) is the focus points not lighting up red in dark environments.

I'm no pro but, the camera is beautiful!

I need a broom stick to bite on while waiting for my pre-order.
