is it new? maybe just needs some lovin' :)

my 24-70 would stick at 28 for the first month (almost took it back because of it). But it was so darn sharp, i figured i could live with the required extra bit of force needed to get from 28 to 24... but at some point, it just "worked right" . Can recall when that stated to work right... only can tell you after much use, it doesn't stick anymore

stick might not be the best description, the ring turns but the focus doesn't change...sometimes and only briefly. I can live with it as I prefer generally to set magnification then move in and out to get focus or just use the very efficient AF. Out of warranty anyway but wondered if this was a common problem.

I had this dirty icicle hanging from my gutter and it was dripping like crazy. The wind was also blowing most drops quite laterally.

In this image (and its respective crop) the water drop got reformed by the wind and looks something like a man in a suit, or some have said an angel.

The sky was quite blue and I was under the icicle shooting upwards. That and using Landscape mode and shooting only jpegs back then exacerbate the blue. I don't do this any longer.

Thanks ChuckingFluff! (The shot was purely luck though)

I think it was dew on the web that made each strand look like the way it does.

Nice pics. But it's violating the image size (resolution) rule. I believe the restriction is 1024 wide/high as the limit. Makes for better viewing anyway, since most people don't have 30" monitors. :D
