Hi all,

I need a sincere critique on this photo. I consider it to be a good picture, but if you see something that is not right, please do not hesitate to tell.

And please tell me if you happen to know how is this bird called.

Nic

The only downside I see is it is a bit dark on the shadow side, and the BG is a slight distraction. nThat being said the downsides are only minor. Overall it has good visual appeal ,with a nice action pose, good details and nice overall composition.

I like the subject and the symmetry very much. I think the background is wonderful and adds to the rhythm. I agree with Trevor in regard to darkness and would add to it that my eye would like to see less of a crop if that is possible.

Nice pose but tight in the frame. The background on the left is somewhat distracting and suggests that the bird is captive ( enclosure ?)

Diamond Lil & Gary Fairhead it might be tight but I did not crop at all. This is the full picture as it was taken. Yes , the bird is captive, this was made in a zoo.
Cheers,
Nic
