Damn that's VIVID!! Very nice!! That's how ALL 1D Mk IV photos should look...bright, brilliant, bold, sharp, and vivid! Full of rich colors!!

Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

Very nice! Looks like you've put it to very good use on it's maiden voyage!

Yea, I know! Got a few others of him. Almost looks like he's pushing 40 years old or so... :)

Gotta love the guys who refuse to give up "The Dream."

I used to work with a gal who's husband played AA ball for nearly 17 years!

Awesome shot!

Thanks guys, The MKIV is an awesome rig and with the X coming out as a FF it just makes the IV even more esoteric. I still have my MKIII which is a great camera but IV is just better. BTW I shot that photo with a 135L.

Cheers...jim

Looks like it's official. The 1DIV is no longer on Canon's website...

I imagine prices on these will now level out, since there are now only so many of this great camera out there. No more to come.

Planned on selling for a 1DX, but now I'm really torn. The 1DX might be a great body, but so is the 1DIV and it seems like it might be the last APS-H body.

America's Cup World Series today (well, yesterday at this point...). Guess there are some benefits from living in Rhode Island... :)

Oh, and I've never shot boats before...
