Excellent catch kuku. Next time try a higher aperture like f11-f16 and focus on the spider.

Cool shots wigloc.

KA - nice gf pics there.

Killer - the macro killer, another great shot.

Vintage Canon 500mm mirror lens, handheld, no cropping no sharpening...not that bad for this old poorly respected glass.

Some initial tests with my new (to me) Asahi Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4.

As shot, no sharpening, handheld:

I got it mainly for video but this thing is quite sharp, better than the nifty fifty, IMO. I will use it more often in the future for sure.

Brian - that looks like a great lens for the softish looks. This sort of look is very hard to do in pp since lens are so sharp nowadays.

How much did you pay for the 1.4 ?

As for the mirror lens - get the Russian made one. It is way way better then anything anyone else has ever made. I tried a friend's copy once and was pretty impressed with it. Not expensive either.

darksun - yellow parrots for me. Cool.

Killer - amazing fly shots again (again?).

Pretty good. I might try getting some old lens and see what they do.

Thanks.
