I know this is probably an easy answer, but I searched and couldn't come up with what I'm looking for!

Is there a thread on here with free photoshop actions? I remember somewhere reading on here that a thread like that did exist, but I cannot find it!

If there is no such thread, where are some good free photoshop action files available to download on the internet?

Thanks in advance!

Dennis sent you to the right spot but there have also been other threads started from time to time on this subject. If I am looking for an action my first course of action is to do an internet search and the first page of results will normally give you good results. Places like action central (external link) and Deviant Art (external link) are two places I look immediately.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Yes tons of free ones there. 90% of them are color shift stuff, but it doesnt cost anything to load and try them.

If you are into shooting portrait stuff, do a search for chip springer's skinfix. Its a nice retouching action. If you get it PM me and I'll give you a tip or two.

I dont know how many of those actions will work with elements, most are designed for photoshop cs.

Elements will support a number of actions, ones that have been developed in Photoshop CSx but that use tools common to Elements. You can find out more from your research, and then at some point you just want to go ahead and install Elements and give it a try!

Here is a bunch that work in both. Or they make a version for elements users as well.

Just google "free photoshop actions" and you will find more than you will ever have time to try.
