Just do it already!

Oh, it's done! ;) I'll have it on Wednesday. I'm also picking up R2-D2 (external link) from the Lego store on Wednesday for my wife. Well, it's kinda for me too but I'll let her put it together. Maybe if she'll let me, I'll take pics of her putting it together with my new lens!

Your posted Samyang images are utterly SUPERB!!!!!!

nice. ;)

Thanks, it's one lens that keeps me from selling the 5D2, turns out i like 7D more but the lens doesn't perform as "soulful" as in the 5D2. I've tried 35L last weekend, i felt something was missing (no, not the autofocus), the pictures lacks some "soul" and "character" (even tho the sharpness, bokeh, and color rendering is terrific).

x2. Me too. I know its the photographer that make the images, but seeing minds234 produce such stellar images with a MF lens with manual aperture makes me think twice about selling the Samyang for the 35L

Keep posting images! I really like the pictures you take. By the way, what apertures do you find yourself using the most indoors (like for this picture and of the other one you posted)?

Don't regret it :D

even in the T2i the IQ still "bad to the last pixel" (in positive way) :D

You're too kind :) it's kinda fluke actually :D EG-s screen on 5D Mark II really helps me a lot, without it...i might as well using f/2.8 for the rest of my life xD

I only use the lens in three apertures: the 1.4, the 2.8 , and the 5.6. 80% of my shots with this lens is on f/1.4. On video mode i use f/2 - f/2.8 to conserve the DoF (i came from APS-C which is DoF Generous compared to the FF, and very shallow f/1.4 DoF is something you dont always want in video)

Thinking of selling my 35mm f1.4 Rokinon. As much as I love it, the manual focus just doesn't cut it for the type of photos I do. Shoot me a PM!

Lens arrived just before lunch. I think this is a keeper!

First two images below. I'm at work so nothing spectacular and I can't edit images other than resizing. These are jpeg's from my 5D, working with balancing flourescents and sunlight so white balance may be a little off. The first is of the lens that this is replacing and the other is of a sweet lamp that's sitting in our warehouse at work. My co-worker's wife won't allow it in their house and he won't let it go because his dad made it for him. If it was mine, it would be displayed proudly in my home!
