Just to add my 1p worth ... I heard someone call it "Mummy Porn" ... reckon that's a good description! It's caused such hype and I really don't know why ... like Mrs C I read them in a couple of days and was very unimpressed. It's a romance novel with some naughty bits in it (and of course, they're PERFECT naughty bits too) ... load of rubbish!

As it's been so long since I've managed to pop by to say hello, I just wanted to prove I AM still taking photos ;) ...

Hi all - I was sent details of a new 'air traveller's vest' which may interest some folk on this forum. It's basically a weekend bag in vest format. If you're looking to free up your hands when travelling take a look here http://www.bagket.com/bagket.aspx (external link)

I dread to think how heavy that would be fully-loaded :D

I did think of that but when you have the choice of a heavy camera bag and/or need your hands I'd imagine the weight is irrelevant. That said though, I don't know if this would be padded enough for lenses and cameras.

But then you could load up the vest with enough clothes etc for a weekend trip and then take a camera bag as carry on.

Afternoon all. just waded through the last few days of posts.
Linda that second Tern pic is awesome really beautiful.
Lee - love the vole in the vole hole - must get down to the BWC again soon.
Clare - great otter shots, and you even got a bit of sunshine there too!
nice pics from Amsterdam Kev, the clogs is my fave too.
Mike your friends dog is v handsome. (do you mind me saying though - always make sure their eyes are gloop-free first)

Like the others have said, those US Olympic shots, oh dear. I would imagine the athletes are rather fed up too, not just the photographer. Would be very interesting to know exactly why what how etc.

I had a good time on Sunday at Celia Cross - ended up in a shed, albeit a very big shed - but it worked well as a makeshift studio! I raised £55 for them which wasn't bad.
Blog post is here (external link) and here's a few of my faves -

this blue and white whippet was absolutely stunning and so well behaved too. I had his paws up on a box (that helps to keep them still!) which also helps to lengthen the front of the body.

You'd be suprised how much weight you can carry evenly distributed on the body and for the average person this wouldn't be a problem for short periods when traveling.

Nice dog shots Penel and Mike.

Putting it in perspective ...

If a person is two stone overweight they're carrying an extra 28 lbs (12.7 Kg).
