It is not stacked photos. All I did was cropped it than slide the clarity all the way to the right. Even me was surprised because the original pic you don't see the stars but while adding clarity I noticed stars starts to appears in the pic so I slide it all the way to the right done in LR.

Ah ha! I see what you're saying, I'm gonna have to try this on a nice cropped 300mm photo and see if I can't get the same result! Thank you!

This comment was in response to a couple of pictures that I posted that a few individuals ripped. I did not want to name names. I am happy with constructive criticism but it came off as if I PP the photos I submitted they would look as good as theirs.

I don't think anyone, in this thread, meant anything as bad as that by any comments. This thread generally gets compliments from visitors about how nice the posters are. But, as with anything on the internet, all you can do is read, and interpret, the words on screen. Without body language and whatnot, it's easy to catch the wrong tone in a statement.

At any rate, do you have any software, other than what came with the camera, for post processing? Personally, when I got my first camera, I found DPP, and the other software that came with the camera, confusing and cumbersome. That was mostly because I just didn't take the time to learn it, but I picked up Lightroom and got comfortable with it. I should go back and learn DPP, but just haven't yet.

But, if you have Lightroom, how I learned a lot of it was just by playing with it. Hit the Auto setting and see what changes, and by how much, on the settings. Then adjust each one up and down to see what it does. This will familiarize you with what the settings do, and what different combinations of settings will change. You'll see the difference between raising Brightness and using Fill Light instead.

The important thing is that you learn what you like and process images to *your* taste. It doesn't really matter what everyone else here thinks. I may give a suggestion on what *I* think would make your image better, but that's my taste, and doesn't mean your image is bad.

I still consider myself new to pp, I have lr3 and cs5 to play around but don't have much time to learn the magical features of photoshop so I am contented in basic pp like sharpening a little, adding contrast, cropping like that, my knowledge in photoshop is not really deep but from time to time I visit YouTube to get some pointers and of course in this thread I learned a lot from the members here. I see a lot of free presets online but I don't really want to use presets I want to do my own pp unless someone offer their setting or steps than I don't have problem with it. Peter, I love playing with the presets, because you can hit a preset and see how it changes the image, thereby seeing how to achieve that particular look. There are some setting combinations you will see after applying a preset, that you would never have thought of to try to get that look. Right now, Bleach Bypass is my favorite of the day. I hit that and then adjust to my liking....

I tried presets also and still have them in my photoshop, you are right you can see how they ended up with pic I noticed that it shows in the sliders what they did. I should play with it also and adjust it to my liking. Thanks meds that is a nice idea.
