Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it more than you might think.
In general I'd rather hear someone's opinion on what makes my photo crappy.
Just like in your sig, "feel free to critique HARSHLY"

How do you like it so far? The photos look good so I guess that's a good sign...

I do like it a lot already. Having the ability to use graduated filters is big especially cause I love shooting landscapes. However every time I go to shoot sunset it's just sub par... And the days I don't the sky is ridiculous. Been frustrated lately. :/

Very nice landscapes shots, the dear is razor sharp, and the buildings I like the one of the windows, lots of detail there , same as the old Chevy

grumpy - wow shots there. Well done.

brandrum - you will, you will. That is one fine shot there but could benefit from a bit of contrast and sharpening.

Russel - the 2nd one for me. Nice one.

Mitch - tree shadow is excellent. You are becoming quite the shadow man. :)

Just a simple reed.... :(

Bought a Hama tripod recently from a car boot sale for £12.00 (about 3 cents US when you compare the standard of living in the US with rip off Britain), so here are some shots from my first attempts at long exposures (30 seconds) taken in Cardiff Bay with the 18-55 kit lens. All comments, no matter how scathing and critical, will be greatly appreciated;

Behind again. Caught up again.

Jamganz, those were some great butterfly shots. I especially liked the one sipping the banana (plantain?)

Bobo, that reed shot is really nice.

Two light set-up in the back yard.

P.S. I'm never returning my neighbor's 100mm f/2. I'm pretty sure he has one of my books or movies or something...

Wow! cool photos... did you bait him with the fruit or was it already there. Either way I think I am going to try baiting some animals soon. Thanks for the inspiration :) Nice vibrant photos. Did you get any with the P&S?

Thanks, Marm. The 'bait' was already there. Just waited for him to land so I could frame him up. For the life of me, I couldn't get fast enought shutter speed in those conditions to get a clean shot of him in flight showing of his beautiful blue wings.
Although I had a P&S with me, I didn't use whole trip!
