Here are a few flight shots. I liked the Skimmer with and without the reflection so I included two crops on that shot.

One of the local marsh patrol wandered by last weekend as well so I included a couple of it as well. It's been so blasted hot here that the marsh muck almost looked refreshing.

What a great set! It looks alot like the wildlife in my neck of the woods. What area were these taken in? I'm not used to seeing skimmers away from the beach. I really love 2(with the full reflection) and the last one (those amber eyes are SO intense). Nice work!

All great shots there, Steve...for me, however, within the bounds of this being a great set overall, I especially love the last Gator shot. The fact that you obviously got to a lower level really makes it, superb shot.

As much as I love your birds, Steve, those gator shots are fantastic!

Really enjoyed the set. I'm partial to the Cormorant silhouette. Nice gator shots too.

Lovely photos as usual Steve and thanks for the Patrolman treat. He's wonderful, especially the last shot.
I'm glad your critters have been out and about at the marsh. The last few times I was able to venture to ours it was as if they'd all gone into hiding.

Thanks very much everyone for the nice comments.

Lil, things have been slow here this spring and summer. It's hard to tell if the decrease in activity is due to the mild winter, natural disasters or just a random fluctuation. One thing's for sure I've never seen it like this in the past 10 years. I hope this isn't the start of a trend.

Wonderful set, very envious of the chance to shoot such creatures

UhOh...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it being a blip.
