Photos not only capture moments but preserve memories, I believe that photos that are closest to us have some kind of a story behind them.

I was just curious to know if you guys had any. This discussion is about posting photos that bring out such stories that not only describe the technical details but focus more on the situation in which it was shot, its expression etc.

All photos should preferably have a story behind them. That's the art of photography. It should also be something that you have in mind when making any photo. What is your message? What do you want to say with this image?

Being able to communicate with your photography is what separates good photographers from bad.

(I'm bad :p)

In the world of fine art photography, collectors, art buyers and decorators, etc. like to know the stories behind the pictures. It is generally accepted that supplying same "personalizes" the piece and as a result, makes it more marketable. I have not had time to do so, but I plan on personalizing what I have in fine art venues such as Fine Art America.
