I made the mistake thinking I could sand down by hand my inner tubes for coupling. Nope! They are at a machine shop now and tomorrow I finish the rig build hopefully!

Does anyone have the name or the ref of a part i can screw on the suction cup to get more height. Like a stud but longer than the small one we can usually find.

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

I mean the pole that is here screwed on the suction cup in order to fix a super clamp on it. The goal is to extend the height of one cup.
Hope you'll understand me in my poor english, not easy for me to explain clearly.

Steph'

No idea about my request above ?

Thanks

Just go to an engineering shop & get them to machine a piece of 1/4" Rod to match with a longer length, same thread,
unscrew this one & screw longer one on..

I finished my boom yesterday and went to shoot my buddies car for a test, I definitely need a CP, that's my next purchase. I'll put a short write up soon about my boom, Here's a before and after:

I took courage to do one for me too, but I can not find any tutorial or pictures so I have a base and ask a friend to help me. Does anyone know where I can get?

I like the first one the best, but they both look soft at the rear. It looks like you shot them both with the Toki @ ƒ22, which may be a bit hight, might research that lens a bit to find its sweet-spot. Of course, it could be your boom as well, but the light in the back is pretty even.

thanks! well, yeah, the softness is from the lens, but I can't put a filter on the fisheye and my boom is too short for any other lens I have...I've tried longer booms but they bounce like hell..sadly I live far from the US, otherwise I'd ordered your boom months ago..

Danyi - how long is your boom? I use 2 x 2 m and it's enough for Sigma 10-20.

On average what lens length is everyone using? Thinking about picking up a 10-22. Any other recommendations? All i have is a few cheap lens and my 70-200is II, looking to get a nicer quality wide lens.

it's 2x1,5 m, 10-20 would be good, since I shoot with a 10-17, I just don't have a 10-20, that's the problem:) I can't really afford to have both, and when I bought the 10-17, I didn't even know about the existence of rig shooting, so filterless life didn't seem to be a problem..
